How We Rank CPUs
For every game in the set we compute two independent ceilings: the FPS the processor can sustain and the FPS the card can sustain. Actual FPS is the lower of the two. The "Unlocks" column is the geometric mean of that ratio across all games, with both ceilings first capped at 240 Hz, because frames no monitor displays are not an advantage. We use the geometric rather than the arithmetic mean because averaging raw frame rates lets a single esports title at 600 FPS outweigh every AAA game combined.
